About Lindsey
I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Denison University in Granville, Ohio where I teach a range of subjects, including philosophy of law, ethics, social and political philosophy, information and data ethics, and theories of justice.
My research addresses questions of ethics and policy in criminal justice, education, and law. I am most interested in thinking about how society is and ought to be disposed toward its members who have less-than-full agency as a matter of natural or social circumstance. Though my primary focus is on criminal offenders, young adults, and children, I am curious about how my prescriptions might fare if extended to include entities like non-human animals and artificial intelligences.
